Abby Khan
Abby was born in South Africa, completed high school and started a five year apprenticeship with some of the best jewelry craftsmen around. The first three years he apprenticed with Jordi Gil a Spaniard who was a winner of many awards such as the S.A. Jewelry designer’s awards and the South African gold and diamond awards. At Jordi Gil's place, Abby was trained in the tradition of the Great European Masters of the jewelry trade. The remaining two years of his apprenticeship was under the guidance of Hines Kurts a German how was a master amongst masters. He then started Abby's designs in South Africa at the age of twenty-two.

Abby came to the U.S. at the age of twenty-eight and worked for Goldform for two years. He then went on to work for the Diamond District who had opened the largest jewelry store on the west coast. While working for the Diamond District, Abby had made jewelry for many famous people such as Rick Dees, Don Mosebar of the Raiders, and Eazy E. from N.W.A. just to name a few.

In 1990 Abby started Abby's Designs in the U.S. Most of what he does today is custom designing for stores like “High End Jewelry Stores" at South Coast Plaza. Abby's creations can be seen worn by people like Cher on her last televised concert. Darius Mills, Lamar Odom, Chris Wilcox, Eddie Robinson and Eddie Curry all basketball player.

Sture Setterby
Sture Setterby was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. At the early age of 16 he began his apprenticeship as a goldsmith. He received seven years of training as a Master Goldsmith in his hometown of Gothenburg. He was trained in all the fundamental aspects of high end, hand crafted fine jewelry making. His Swedish training is unique in that all gold jewelry had to be made with a minimum of 18 carats. The Swedish government strictly enforced these standards of measuring the gold content.

Due to his background, Mr. Setterby has always been meticulous about gathering only the finest precious metals and stones to work with. He came to the United States in 1979 and since arriving in the United States, Mr. Setterby has been employed by the Swiss company, Boss Hard And Company, as well as two American owned companies Vyndham Leigh, and JFA Designs. Vyndham Leigh, located in Fashion Island in Newport Beach, California is, famous for it’s handcrafted, high-end, and one of a kind jewelry pieces. Mr. Setterby was the goldsmith responsible for creating difficult, one of kind jewelry designs. During his time at JFA Designs, the company was famous for its contemporary artistic designs, which once again could only be crafted by a highly skilled master goldsmith.

Mr. Setterby’s experience in both Sweden and the United States makes him uniquely qualified to employ the meticulous perfection and quality associated with old world fine hand crafting techniques used in Europe, in addition to the precision and artistic flare used to craft one of a kind, contemporary and artistic pieces popular with the sophisticated and artistic clientele he encountered in the United States.
